Green and gold..We will keep our school flag flying….
A decade ago, while the rest of the class was jogging around the school compound twice for PE.
Two cheeky bastards decided to went up a nearby flat during the first round. They got a pack of Marlboro and a bottle of mineral water from the mama store located on the ground floor of the flat.
These two buggers finished their puff in record timing and spill the water on their selves to make it seem like it was all sweats from jogging and proceed to join the class on the second round of the jog getting middle fingers from the rest of the guys in the process.
This was but one of the classic incidents that got mentioned when i meet up with my ah bengs sec classmates at a facing the beach Irish pub. This incident was also voted in the top three grading as we try to list down the top ten most foolish and top ten accomplishments (Dun see me no up…Limpei came out top student for the whole school for one ‘O’ level subject okay) during those golden four years.
Images of those carefree days of skirt chasing around the neighbourhood, smoking in toilet, riding bike without license, playing mahjong, rollerblading around get reinforced with every recollections from the group. What days those simply have been…
The night ended with a recital of the school song… three siao langs singing Green and Gold, green and gold, we will keep our school flag flying all the way to the car park at 2 a.m….
