20歲靠體力賺錢, 30歲靠經驗賺錢, 40歲靠人脈賺錢

I always appreciate how Chinese can narrate wisdom within a few sentences. Read this today..

20歲靠體力賺錢,
30歲靠經驗賺錢,
40歲靠人脈賺錢。

Jin Wise..
And best of all, Chinese books cost less than 8 bucks compared to 30bucks for western gurus titles.

Champion England.

Champion England once again.
Champion Europe soon to come.

Reflections

Discipline seriously lacking.
Intellectual yet unwise.
Resources not invested but wasted.
Poor in soul, Rich in guilt.
Ways many to add life into years. yet chosen meaningless one.
Well known path, Destination doom
Yet with my footprints fresh upon the dirt.
Well timed jolt out of hallucination. And the heart woken so weary and heavy.

In the parable of evaporation, the sleeper wakes from the meat world.
In this impossible version: a seagull: the whole sky circling.
Ashes ashes drifting into the sound: soft facts into a fictional sea.

I wish for you a life of wealth, health and happiness; a life in which you give to yourself the gift of patience, the virtue of reason, the value of knowledge, and the influence of faith in your own ability to dream about and achieve worthy reward ~ Jim Rohn

Today i feel a bit like Mr Silly.I went jogging and anticipated the silliness seeping away from my pores.
Only getting a tight calf in return.

Jim Rohn quote always make me feel lacking. The pursuit of excellence - it’s never not good enough need to be moderated in my unbalanced life.

Outliers: Majolica Majorca blog girls

I have finished Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell recently and have a small spectum of mind open( i think so lah) to notice environment background that people can best excel in.

Someone pass me all the Majolica Majorca brand ambassadors blog address and i went to read/visit their blogs. (okay i started out just to check out chicks pics and peak into other people lives on a Sunday afternoon)

Maybe cos, i am also trying to check back my blind spot on my steep slope to success and it is on my mind after a early morning sharing session with NZX.

Anyway, I have subconsciously categorized these attractive women of the same age, different family background, same educational level into different quantum growth curve. Everything else being equal, i used DISC, attitude observation, ability to converse, my 6th sense and family nurturing (or lack of family nurturing) to do so.

My Prediction is that one is going to do very well and excel over the others in life personal achievements. (i dun think settling down is even going to stop her star from shining lor).

The nurturing from the family background is so very important. It can outright determine a mindset for success.
And it seem like a three generation aftereffect as narrated in the book. The reason why we can notice and trying so hard to get to the top is because of our parents effort. We will enjoy a little success than them. But the ultimate one to reap will be my kids. So seem like i am just the one paving the route for my kids to be in the top 20%. So in the end, they are the ones to reap the ultimate profit from my BoA shares.

Okay this is purely a speculative judgmental post derived from my learnings from the book. As with all govt predictions going on now about the economy, mai take it too seriously.

The best test

It have been a while since i last revisit the Best Test and realised how far i have slip behind in the listing.
I even lose some which i thought i possessed. Maintenance is more difficult than attainment.

The Best are Optimists. You can’t get to the top if you don’t think that there is a top or if you think you can’t make it. One characteristic of those who reach the peak is that they always believe that things can get better or be done better. This pushes them on to be their best.
*

The Best have Vision. They can see ahead of the pack. Their eyes aren’t locked into the here and now. They see the bright future and what things will look like when they reach their destiny. While working hard for today, they live for the future! They do what Stephen Covey calls begin with the end in mind.
*

The Best Relentlessly Pursue Excellence. The status quo is not for them. They want to be the best and experience the best. And that means giving their best. They go the extra mile so that in everything they do, in everything they say and think, they are striving for excellence.
*

The Best have a Life Long Habit of Personal Growth. They don’t want to stay at the level they are at. They want to grow in their work, their intellect, their spirituality, their relationships, and in every area of their life. And they discipline themselves to put themselves in situations wherein they grow. Personal growth doesn’t “just happen.” You choose to grow.…Also, read more. The old saying is true: Leaders are readers. So are those who pass the “Best” test.
*

The Best Understand that They will be Pushed by the Competition—and They Welcome It. Like the lead runner in the race who has someone on his heels, the best know that the competition is right behind them. They love it though because they know that the competition keeps them from becoming lazy and resting on their laurels. Instead, the competition pushes them to go faster and to achieve more—to remain the best by forging ahead.
*

The Best have a Quest for Leadership. Someone has to lead—it may as well be the best! Those who attain it get there because they want to. They want to lead and help make a difference. And they want to be equipped with the skills necessary to lead others on to a better place.
*

The Best Leave a Legacy. They aren’t in it just for themselves, though they will surely reap the rewards of being the best. Rather, the build things that last beyond themselves, things that can be enjoyed by others as well.
*

The Best are Adept at the Two Most Important Pieces of Time and Personal Management: Prioritize and Execute.…First, prioritize your activities. The important stuff goes on the top. Then, execute: do them. The best have habits and discipline that get them to the top by doing the best things and doing them first.
*

The Best Focus on Building Relationships. Success does not come alone. Everyone who achieves much does it with the help of countless others. How do the Best get others to help them? They treat them right. They embrace them and help them. People become the best because they help other people, and people like them.
*

The Best Make no Excuses. When they fail they admit it and move on. They get back up and do it right the next time. They let their actions speak loader than their words. They stand tall and do the right thing the next time. No excuses, just results.
*

The Best Understand that the Good is the Enemy of the Best. Yes, they could say, “this is good.” But that would mean they have settled for less than the best. Many people think that good is good. Good is not good. Good is the enemy because it keeps us from the best. Choose your side: the good or the best. The Best choose, you guessed it, the Best.
*

The Best Dare to Dream. While others live the mundane and settle into a life they never bargained for, a rut, the Best dream of a better life. And then they take the risks necessary to achieve their dreams. They live by Teddy Roosevelt’s quote: Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs though checkered by failure, then to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilit that knows neither victory nor defeat.

Happiness is simply..

Just visited a friend’s blog.
What i always deem as lack of fighter spirit result in her simplified lifestyle expectations.
And she was always so easy going and happy, someone you can trust not to stab.
Can feel the happiness of her post marriage life.
I have realized much from observations today. It help sto define purpose.

Happiness is simply having the love of people around you ~ Gates & Buffet say one.

2008

First half of the year was filled with much positive developments.
I hit a career high and travel a fair bit. I got complacent and let everything slip in the second half.
Second half was so lacking of focus and come to look back, i was such an idiot.

Complacency is a really big monster.
Disregard law of attractions, hard work, focus, positive enhancement, control of emotions, and self sacrifice.

It is much like ELP Xmas chart, leading with 12points and to lose it all in the end not even making european playoff.
And golf will tell us that it not how high you leading the table but how long you stand up in the table.

I could have end the year on a much higher high.
Awareness and better change is the learning message.
